Just yesterday Southern California Criminal Defense Attorney Matthew Ruff was successful in getting falsified accusations of Domestic Violence charges dropped in a Los Angeles Superior Court, Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
The case started with false allegations of child neglect and abuse by the mother after she broke up with the child’s father. The accuser filed a false DCFS case and an investigation was conducted and later closed, however the mother refused to return the child to the father and pressed charges for DV, including abuse and child neglect. The accuser absconded with the child and refused to disclose her whereabouts.
Yesterday, in Los Angeles Superior Court, the Judge agreed with Matthew and dismissed ALL CHARGES against his client. Not satisfied, Matthew requested and was issued a restraining order (order of protection) against the mother/ex-girlfriend who made the false allegations.
The case took over 4 months during which the client had no contact with his son. The mother of the child had filed a fabricated request for a domestic violence restraining order, which was temporarily granted pending a hearing. As a top criminal defense attorney Matthew knew how to expose the falsehoods and obtain justice for his client. Through cross examination and exposing inconsistencies in her testimony Matthew established the false accuser was not to be believed. Matthew also proved the false accuser violated Court orders in the case. The Judge agreed.
