Very few will disagree that without commercial drivers our nation’s commerce would grind to a screeching halt.  Despite the importance the trucker plays in our economy California law enforcement often places unreasonable restrictions on their lives by stopping and citing them for petty violations of the vehicle code,  Americans, and the police should recognize the tough jobs truck drivers have and endeavor to assist them when they have a unjustified speeding ticket, log book violation, lane citation, overweight ticket, DWI or hazmat violation. 
Commercial violations are particularly harsh because in California  the law does not allow traffic school to clear the violation and keep the points off a driver’s record unlike a non-commercial ticket.
