A California Lawyer should be retained to be sure the petition for expungement is filed correctly.  One Torrance Expungement Lawyer states that the petition for an expungement before being granted by the Criminal Court, the defendant can, in most cases, honestly answer on job applications that he or she has not been convicted of a crime for purposes of private employment. In effect the case will have been dismissed, which means that the state has deemed them to be reformed.
