Recently, the CA Governor signed into law a statute that changes the way police reat cars that were driven by suspects arrested for license violations. The law compels police to release the car to a licensed driver rather than impound the car which costs the owner several hundre dollars. The question is whethet the TPD will be quick to implement the new law given widespread abuses in that area in the past.
